London Tech Week 2019 was the biggest festival of tech the UK has ever seen. Launched by Prime Minster Theresa May earlier this month, it helped reinforce the UK’s position as a leading global tech hub. We were hired by the organisers, Informa Tech to run the comms and media strategy for the festival. We worked in partnership with the headline sponsors – Microsoft and IBM – and other key stakeholders to promote the event and the UK’s fast growing tech sector.
Our work ranged from forging a partnership with the Telegraph as headline media partner; raising the profile of InformaTech MD, Carolyn Dawson; working closely with No. 10 press office around the PM’s involvement at launch and spearheading media relations ahead of and at the event. We worked closely with the Informa Tech team to provide high level strategic advice and day-to-day support in the months leading up to Tech Week, and on the ground, collaborating with the Informa Tech video teams to help create engaging and newsworthy content. Our results speak for themselves.
